The mayor of ○○
1. ○○ city has plans to focus on overseas PR marketing for improving the brands of ○○ at international tourism resources such as Everland and Korean Folk Village and to do activities for attracting tourists actively. In detail, it is making plans to participate in main international tourism fairs at home and overseas, to strengthen sister relationships for promoting exchange among TPO member cities and civil members, to do FAMTOUR business for the inbound tourism, and to do PR activities for embassies and tourism commissions. It is expected that more active and efficient overseas marketing will be able to be performed through cooperation such as joint projects with the member cities in the wake of joining the organization.
2. ○○ is a culture and tourism city that has a variety of culture and tourism resources such as the Hantaek Botanical Garden, which is the largest assorted botanical garden in KOREA, Gyeinggi Korean Traditional Music Center, ○○-MBC DRAMIA, which is a visual culture complex and is being constructed in collaboration with MBC, themed museums, and art centers such as Hoam Art Center and Samsung Transporation Museum in addition to Everland and Korean Folk Village. 15 million tourists visit ○○ annually and 550,000 foreign tourists on an average visit this city. ○○ has plans to work on tourism marketing at overseas to attain the goal of 600,000 foreign tourists in 2007.
