Greetings from the Secretariat.
We are pleased to inform you that at the beginning of June, FMDV - the Global Fund for Cities Development - launched the 1st Worldwide Edition of the Finance Your Cities (FYC) Innovation Awards, with the support of the French Ministry of Ecological Transition, ADEME, and UCLG - United Cities and Local Governments. The FYC Innovation Awards identify, connect, and promote financial innovations for the sustainable, just, and resilient transition and adaptation of cities and regions. An information note and the application form of the Awards are attached for your reference and use.
This global initiative will reward 3 categories of actors:
- Public development funds and banks
- Ministries and their national institutions/agencies
- Cities and regions, and their public companies
Finance Your Cities is the collaborative and convergence platform where public and private actors connect to make a meaningful step forward in solving the global financing and investment gap for sustainable and just urban development and transition.
