Survey on SDG Localization: LRG Report to the HLPF 2021

 
Dear members,
 
Since 2016, United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) has been reporting every year, on behalf of the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments, to the High-Level Political Forum of the United Nations on the role of local and regional governments in the localization of the SDGs. The next report will be presented in July 2021.
 
We need your support: Please fill in the Survey
We need the support of the local and regional governments, and their national associations, from all the countries and particularly from the 43 countries that have committed to submit their Voluntary National Reviews to the 2021 HLPF. The complete list of countries by region is available below. Grateful for the UCLG Sections to support dissemination and gathering information. 
 
You can access this link to complete it online, before April 15th. In case of technical issues, get in touch with us and we will provide an off-line version of the survey. 
 
The 2021 HLPF is going to address the “Sustainable and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic”. Our survey and report will focus in particular on highlighting local and regional governments’ contribution to a more sustainable recovery from COVID-19, with a particular focus on SDG 3 (health), and the interlinkages with the other SDGs assessed this year (SDG 1 ending poverty; SDG 2 ending hunger, SDG 8 sustainable growth, SDG 10 reducing inequalities, SDG 12 sustainable consumption and production, SDG 13 climate change, SDG 16 peaceful and inclusive societies, and SDG 17 partnerships). The survey includes specific questions in this regard.
 
For our European members only: European local government associations and local and regional governments have already received a similar survey sent by the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) and PLATFORMA in February. If you did not receive it, you can also access it through the following link. Please make sure you only answer the survey once.
