Dear UCLG ASPAC members,
 Recognizing the need of cooperation on marine ecological conservation and disaster risk reduction, and in view of the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions, World Association of the Major Metropolises (Metropolis) and 21st-Century Maritime Cooperation Committee will jointly hold the Online Workshop 
on Marine Ecological Conservation and Disaster Risk Reduction via the Zoom platform. The Workshop will be held on the three afternoons from 31 August to 2 September 2020 which will include lectures and a panel discussion, with the focus on marine 
ecological conservation, sustainable development of marine industry, protection and proper development of marine resources, and marine disaster prevention and 
reduction.
