United-Nations Water Conference 2023
22-24 March 2023, New York
Dear members,
The UN 2023 Water Conference that will be held from 22-24 March in New York City will provide an opportunity for all types of actors ranging from local and regional governments to national governments, civil society and stakeholders and others to ensure that their actions move towards protecting access to water and sanitation as a human right and can be scaled and replicated in the years to come.
The local and regional government constituency gathered in the Global Taskforce, facilitated by UCLG, plans to hold different activities during the conference.
The briefing we have prepared provides information on the modalities and objectives of participation of the main highlights during the conference.
Please note the following points for action:
- Please inform the UCLG World Secretariat if you plan on or are interested in attending the UN Water Conference in New York City via email by February 15th, 2023.
- Please register for the UN Water Conference if you plan on attending with the following link by February 15th, 2023: https://indico.un.org/event/1004007/
Prior to registering, please inform the UCLG World Secretariat if you plan on or are interested in attending the UN Water Conference in New York City via email by February 15th.
- Please inform the UCLG World Secretariat if you are interested in being a speaker in one of the interactive dialogues of the conference by February 6th, 2023. Very limited space is available and will be subject to the discretion of the UN.
Please note that per UN guidelines only three accreditations will be accepted per organisation.
