We are very pleased to count on your participation in the hybrid delegation of local and regional governments to the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF).

As you know, as part of the special events of the HLPF official program is our Local and Regional Government Forum. This forum is organized by the Global Taskforce together with UN DESA, UNDP, UN Habitat and Local 2030. Please find here all the documentation of the LRG Forum and the up-dated agendas attached.

The LRG forum will take place during two days: a fully online session on July 7 (via zoom) from 08:00 to 10:30 EDT and a fully face-to-face session at UN Headquarters (CR2- UNHQ) on July 12 from 15:00 to 18:00 EDT. For both sessions there is a single mandatory registration which can be found here.

In addition to the LRG Forum and as is tradition, the day before we will hold a meeting of the entire constituency at 13:00 EDT on July 11th at the UN headquarters (CR8) to present our Annual Report Towards the Localization of the SDGs including a country-by-country analysis of LRGs involvement in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and a specific report on LRG progress towards implementing SDG5. For all delegates who will be in NYC, it is very important that you register as soon as possible through this link so that we can issue your ground passes to the United Nations. It is very important to mention that these registrations are subject to approval and availability - please do not share the link. When registering, in representation type you must click: NGOs accredited MGos constituencies and in Organization name you must click: United Cities and Local Governments. All delegates, principals and accompanying persons, must register (each delegate with a different email address). If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via: policy@uclg.org. The approved passes will be handed out by the UCLG team on the morning of July 11 at the ONE UN Hotel. We will let you know the specific location in the hotel and time of delivery later this week. As always, we invite those who are able to do so to accredit themselves as delegates of their National Governments to the UN Missions.

We are very excited to meet again either virtually or in person at this annual event and demonstrate that localization is the driving force of the 2030 Agenda.
