2018 UCLG World Council
Programme and agendas
Dear members of the World Council,
As you know the World Council will take place from 5 to 8 November in Madrid, back-to-back with the second edition of the World Forum on Urban Violence and Education for Coexistence and Peace, at the kind invitation of Mayor Manuela Carmena.
DRAFT PROGRAMME
The key institutional day for UCLG will be
6 November, where both the Executive Bureau and World Council will gather around business sessions and a political debate.
- Monday 5 November: Opening of the Forum, Financial Management Committee and Committee on Statutory Affairs, as well as thematic sessions.
- Wednesday 7 November: Policy Councils and Ibero-American Local Forum
As you might know the dates of the World Council coincide unavoidably with the meeting of our sister organization AIMF in Lille (where many of our members are also expected). The proposed programme above is the best compromise that both Secretariats have been able to find. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of the clash which we have not been able to prevent give an exceptionally busy last quarter of the year for our networks, with an unprecedented number of mobilizations both at regional and global level.

LOGISTICAL INFORMATION
Registration
Registrations for the World Council are now open.
Please note that for statutory and security reasons, you are required to confirm your participation by filling in the
online registration form as soon as possible and
before 15 October. You should fill one form per participant.
Participants of the World Council will be automatically registered for the
World Forum on Urban Violence and Education for Coexistence and Peace.

Transport
Transfers from the designated hotels to the meeting venue will be provided by the hosts.
