Dear members,

We are pleased to share with you the background documents for the Business Session of the Executive Bureau, to be held on 15 June 2023.
 
Please note that these documents will also be available on the UCLGMeets platform as from tomorrow.
 
UCLG is aiming to organize a paperless event and will not have printing facilities in situ, so you are kindly requested to bring your own copies of the documents or consult them directly online.
 
 
Up-dated agenda
 
In order to generate more space for interventions from members, the agenda of the Business Session is proposed to be organized as follows:
 

• 14:00-14:30: Opening
   
• 14:30-16:00: First segment of the business session: Institutional issues. This segment will include up-dates on the Pact for the Future, the Future Envisioning Exercises, the renewal of the Policy Councils and the reports of the UCLG institutional committees.
   
• 16:00-17:00: Policy debate: Future Envisioning Exercise
   
• 17:00-18:00: Second segment of the business session: Policy highlights and strategic priorities. This segment will allow members to receive up-dates on the progress of the work plan. Members of the Presidency will also share the priorities identified for the coming months. 

The general programme has also been up-dated with a couple of timing adjustments.
 
 
Registration
 
We remind you that it is necessary to complete registration in two steps:

• Step 1: In order to access the venue, all participants must register to the Brussels Urban Summit via the dedicated page. Please note that the sessions of the Summit are in-person and that registration is mandatory to obtain your accreditation.
• Step 2: Additionally, to confirm your attendance to the Executive Bureau, be it in-person or online, we would be grateful if you could fill in the participation form by 8 June at the latest. 

As is now usual, the list of registered participants to the Executive Bureau will be published on UCLGMeets. Please note that the list of participants will not be up-dated after the deadline of 8 June.
 
 
The World Secretariat will prepare another circular including all the latest up-dates the week before the Executive Bureau. In the meantime, the team remains at your disposal should you require any additional information: UCLGExBu@uclg.org.
