Call for Local4Action HUBs
Deadline: 1 June 2023 

 

Dear members,

Since 2020, the Local4Action HUBs program is recognizing and amplifying high-impact policies and practices that, through local action, are driving global transformation. The program offers a platform for showcasing, further enabling and scaling-up these local practices, while fostering synchronization between activities and parts of the network. The Local4Action HUBs further serve to accelerate the constituency’s impact in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the unfolding of the Pact for the Future of Humanity, renewing the social contract through the power of collective action, shared ownership, and international cooperation.
 
Based on a successful and impactful local practice with the potential to be scaled up within and beyond its own territory, cities, regional governments and their associations are called upon to initiate a process of amplification of their initiatives while accelerating the global agendas and drive the process of implementation of the Pact of the Future.
 
Becoming a Local4Action HUB is a strategic opportunity for members to bring their local contribution to sustainability to the forefront of the international conversation.

Who can apply for a Local4Action HUB?

• Has your city, local government or region developed an innovative policy or program that promotes ways of living that are grounded in sustainability, justice, solidarity and care for people and the planet?
• Does your initiative advance localization to implement the global development agendas and unfold the Pact for the Future?
• Do you believe that your experience can inspire and help other local and regional governments to define similar policies and demonstrate the important role of LRGs in achieving a more sustainable and equitable planet?

Then you can join the global acceleration for the implementation of the global agendas and the unfolding of the Pact for the Future! This is the opportunity to join the global platform and generate your own Local4Action HUB initiative!
 

How can you apply?
 
You can submit a proposal by filling in the following Google Form in one of the three working languages of UCLG (English, French or Spanish), before 1 June 2023.
