5th UCLG Culture Summit: Registration is open!
Deadline for early bird registration: 31 August 2023

 

Dear members,

We are very pleased to inform you that registrations for the 5^th UCLG Culture Summit in Dublin, Ireland (28 November – 1 December 2023) are now open.
 
Under the title “Culture. Future. Goal. We Act to Bring Local Visions to Global Tables”, the Summit is conceived as a co-creation space to shape the future we want with culture at the centre.  
 
The Summit recognizes the outstanding work of Dublin on the relationship between culture, sustainable development, trust and caring societies. Dublin is implementing a pioneering model of connecting people with culture through accessibility, wellbeing and evidence, putting the people of Dublin at the centre of cultural policy.
 
The Summit is, at the same time:

• The place to discuss the Global Commons, described in the UN Secretary General's “Our Common Agenda” as “natural and cultural resources that are shared by and benefit us all”. The wording is clear. What are those cultural resources? Come to Dublin and let us know.
• The place to discuss the role of culture in the implementation of the UCLG’s Pact for the Future. Approved in Daejeon in October 2022, the Pact is both the political mandate of the municipal movement and the roadmap of work of UCLG.
• A place for a Cultural Boost at Global Tables. It is clear that the achievement of global agendas will rely on acknowledging culture as a dimension of sustainability.

The Summit will accept up to 500 participants. Early bird registration will close on 31 August 2023. We look forward to welcoming you in Dublin!
